Friedrich Döbrich (born July 13, 1872 in Unterharles ; † March 1, 1953 at Gut Neuhaus-Hohenstein, Schafhof ) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DVP , DNVP , CNBL ).

Life and work

Friedrich Döbrich was the son of a farmer. After attending primary school in Scherneck and grammar school in Coburg , he completed an agricultural apprenticeship in his parents' business. He did military service, then went through further training on various farms and was tenant of the Buchenhof domain in Gleichamberg since 1898 . From 1914 to 1917 he took part in the First World War as a soldier , including as a company commander on various sections of the front. In 1918 he was drafted into the Weimar War Economics Office.

After the end of the war, Döbrich worked again as a tenant of the Buchenhof domain. In 1918 he bought an estate in Unterharles, which he had managed since 1929. In addition, he was first chairman of the agricultural association in Römhild , second chairman of the agricultural district association in Hildburghausen , board member of the farmers' association in Meiningen and a member of the local chamber of agriculture .

politics

In the general election in June 1920 Döbrich in constituency 13 (Thuringia) on was nomination of the United Agricultural professional associations of Thuringia in the Reichstag elected. In the Reichstag he was a member of the parliamentary group of the German People's Party (DVP) from 1920 to 1924. In May 1924 he ran for the German National People's Party (DNVP) and again entered the Reichstag, which he was a member of until July 1932 as a member of constituency 12 (Thuringia). At the end of the 1920s he joined the Christian National Peasant and Rural People's Party (CNBL), which was part of the German Rural People's parliamentary group from 1930 to 1932 . Döbrich himself was chairman of the rural people group at this time.

From April 22, 1931 to July 7, 1932 he served as State Councilor for Meiningen in the government of the State of Thuringia ( Baum cabinet ).
