The Baum cabinet was the seventh government cabinet in the state of Thuringia . After the election to the fifth Thuringian state parliament on December 8, 1929, the latter elected the state government on January 23, 1930, which remained in office until July 7, 1932. The cabinet, also known as the Baum-Frick government , was the first state government in which the NSDAP was involved.

After a successful vote of no confidence by the state parliament against Ministers Frick and Marschler, the NSDAP and DNVP left the government, which then continued to rule without a majority in parliament.
