Friedrich Ferdinand von Boeselager

Friedrich Ferdinand Franz Joseph Freiherr von Boeselager (born October 19, 1781 , † December 25, 1863 in Münster ) was a canon in the Principality of Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Friedrich Ferdinand von Boeselager was born as the son of Kaspar Friedrich von Boeselager zu Eggerfelden (1743-1801) and his wife Maria Anna von Ketteler zu Harkotten (1750-1820). His sister Maria Anna (1774–1848) was married to Max Friedrich Freiherr von Oer . His brother Friedrich Wilhelm (1778-1851) was canon in Münster and Osnabrück. His brother Maximilian von Boeselager was married to Bernhardine von Boeselager. She was a sister of Canon Kaspar Anton von Boeselager (1779-1825) and the mayor Maximilian Anton von Boeselager (1775-1821).

Act

On May 13, 1801, Friedrich Ferdinand received a certificate from Pope Pius VII to be canon in Osnabrück . His brother Friedrich Wilhelm gave him in his capacity as Turnar in 1802 a Dompräbende in Munster . He served in a Prussian Landwehr regiment during the Wars of Liberation and took part in the Battle of Ligny . He had the rank of captain.

Friedrich Ferdinand died of old age. He was buried on December 28, 1863 in the Martini churchyard in Münster.
