Friedrich Franz Ernst von Plotho (born April 30, 1698 in Pessin im Havelland, † March 12, 1766 in Aken (Elbe)) was a Prussian colonel , chief of garrison regiment No. 4 and knight of the Pour le Mérite .

Life

Plotho went into Prussian service in 1711 and fought in the siege of Stralsund in 1715 . In the battle of Kesselsdorf he commanded a grenadier battalion, which was composed of the grenadier companies of regiments No. 10 and No. 22 . For his bravery in the battle of Chotusitz he received the order Pour le Mérite . In 1750 he was a lieutenant colonel in the "Prince Ferdinand" regiment and on February 3, 1757 he became a colonel. In December 1758 he was transferred to Regiment No. S 54 , which had been established from Saxons captured near Pirna . Like many others, it was soon disbanded and transferred to Infantry Regiment No. 32 . Then he took over the garrison regiment No. 4 in Aken an der Saale.

He was married twice. His first wife was Auguste von Wenden, his second was Elisabeth Sophie Albertine von Hagen (* September 6, † May 25, 1799) from the Langen family. Both marriages were without children.
