Friedrich Kaltenegger von Riedhorst

Friedrich Kaltenegger , from 1858 Ritter von Riedhorst , (born October 22, 1820 in Trieste , † October 28, 1892 in Vienna ) was an Austrian civil servant and politician .

Life

After his mother died at an early age, Kaltenegger grew up in the family of Marie Pachler with her son Faust Pachler . He completed a degree in political science and law at the University of Graz and passed it with "summa cum laude". In 1841 he became a legal intern at the criminal and justice magistrate in Graz. In 1843 he switched to camera procuracy, with which he remained without interruption until his death. He completed his training in 1844 with a doctorate to become Dr. iur. and finally passed the bar exam in 1853 . After his father, the Finance Councilor Franz Kaltenegger, with a resolution of January 18, 1858, when he was awarded the Order of the Iron Crown III. Class was honored that occurred ennoblement of the family with the addition Knights of Ried Horst .

Kaltenegger came in 1858 as a finance advisor to the Financial Procuratorate Department in Ljubljana . When his own financial procuratorial office was established there in 1867, he was promoted to chief finance councilor and financial procurator . During his time in Ljubljana, he was a member of the municipal council and deputy mayor of Ljubljana for several years . He was also a member of the Krainer Landtag and from 1872 to 1881 Governor of Krain.

Kaltenegger came to Vienna at the end of 1880 as a real councilor and financial procurator. There was a member of the manor house and in 1878 the manor house elected a member of the state court. He died of pneumonia and was buried in the Leonhardsfriedhof in Graz.

Oskar Ritter Kaltenegger von Riedhorst was his grandson.
