Life

Friedrich Kienscherf learned organ building from Gottlieb Heise in Potsdam. He then went on a hike, including to Carl August Buchholz in Berlin and to Frankfurt (Oder). On September 1, 1851, he opened an organ building company in Neustadt Eberswalde . His brother Rudolf also worked there from time to time. The two also built physharmonicas , hand harmonicas and barrel organs.

The son Hermann worked in the workshop from 1880 and took over the management in 1888. Friedrich Kienscherf died in 1890. The sons Hermann and Albert continued to run the organ building company.

It still exists today as an organ building workshop in Eberswalde .
