Friedrich Klimke
Friedrich Klimke (born June 8, 1878 in Golleow , Province of Silesia , Prussia, today Polish Golejów ; † January 9, 1924 in Rome ) is a German-Polish philosopher who belongs to the neo-Gothic scholasticism .
Life
After joining the Jesuit order in 1897, Klimke began studying philosophy in Neu Sandez, Austria ( Galicia ), which he continued at the theological faculty of the Jesuits in Valkenburg , Holland . Then studied theology at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow . He was still taught there in the two official languages Polish and German; He also wrote some of his scientific publications in these two languages. After leaving the university, he taught at a high school in Chyriw (Galicia) for three years . After his ordinationIn 1911 he continued his philosophical studies in Krakow. There he held a professorship for philosophy from 1914, and in 1918 Klimke was appointed associate professor for Christian philosophy at the University of Innsbruck . In 1920 he finally went to the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome as a professor of the history of philosophy , where he died on January 9, 1924.
