Friedrich von Boyneburgk

Carl Friedrich von Boyneburgk (born April 17, 1779 in Stedtfeld ; † September 19, 1854 there ) was a German composer and clarinetist as well as chamberlain in Weimar and heir to Stedtfeld (upper house).

Life

Carl Friedrich comes from the Boyneburg family . He was the son of the Weimar Chamber Council and Chief Forester Georg Friedrich von Boyneburg (1742-1811). He was first chamberlain at the Weimar court, later chamberlain.

Friedrich von Boyneburgk took lessons from Karl Gottlieb Umbreit and is thus in the line of the students of Johann Sebastian Bach . Some compositional studies have in the collection Manfred Gorke the Bach Archive in Leipzig received. He was considered a "very fruitful composer, accomplished piano player and good clarinetist". In addition to piano arrangements of several operas by composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Luigi Cherubini and Étienne-Nicolas Méhul, he published almost 30 of his own works.
