Fritz Bluhme

Fritz Bluhme (born February 18, 1869 in Bonn , † April 27, 1932 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer. He was Attorney General and President of the Penal Service in Frankfurt am Main.

Life

Bluhme was born as the son of the Oberbergrate and member of the Reichstag Georg Richard Bluhme on February 18, 1869 in Bonn. He was married to the daughter of the criminal law professor and legal politician Hermann Seuffert (1836–1902).

He began his law studies in 1887 at the Université de Lausanne and continued this at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . During his studies in Lausanne in the summer semester of 1887 he was one of the founding members of the Société d'Étudiants Germania . In continuing his studies in Bonn, he later became a member of the Corps Saxonia . In 1890 he passed the legal trainee examination, then completed his legal clerkship with the legal assessor examination and, after completing his dissertation, became a Dr. iur. PhD.

In 1900 he began his professional career as a public prosecutor in Frankfurt am Main and in the same year married his wife Friderun nee. Sighs. In 1910 he was promoted to public prosecutor's council and in 1914 to senior public prosecutor . He was also a member of the International Criminalist Association , which dealt with questions of criminal policy and criminal law reforms. After completing his military service, he was retired in 1915 as first lieutenant in the reserve of the Westphalian Dragoon Regiment No. 7 , a cavalry regiment of the Prussian army . He was a bearer of the Iron Cross 2nd class and the Prussian Red Eagle Order 3rd class. From 1915 he was a member of the imperial civil administration in Belgium .

In 1920 he was appointed attorney general at the Frankfurt am Main Higher Regional Court and was thus the superior of all public prosecutors in the district of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Frankfurt am Main Higher Regional Court district. In addition, he was President of the Penal Service in the same city.
