Fritz Busse

Fritz Busse (* 1963 in Helmstedt ) is a German film editor .

Life

Fritz Busse grew up in Burgdorf near Hanover. Busse studied sport with a focus on journalism at the German Sport University in Cologne . He graduated with the top grade and worked as a sports journalist . A short time later he gave up this activity and in 1996 began to work as a production assistant at DMC - Design for Media and Communication, where he gained his first experience in film editing . Among other things, he created advertising and film trailers for the pay channel Premiere (now Sky Germany ).

Fritz Busse has been editing feature films since 2000. Among other things, he is responsible for editing almost all of Dror Zahavi's films; Busses work for the Cologne documentary film director André Schäfer is just as extensive. They received the Bavarian Television Prize for the documentary Willy Brandt - Memories of a Political Life .

Fritz Busse is a member of the German Film Academy and of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV (BFS) . He lives in Hamburg.
