Fritz Diedering

Fritz Diedering (born November 24, 1931 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

Fritz Diedering completed a typesetter apprenticeship from 1950 to 1951 with a high school diploma. He then began studying painting at the Leipzig College of Graphics and Book Art with Elisabeth Voigt . Due to illness, he interrupted his studies from 1953 to 1956 and continued his studies at the Halle-Giebichenstein University of Industrial Design from 1957 to 1961 with Kurt Bunge , Willi Sitte , Meinolf Splett and Lothar Zitzmann , which he graduated with a diploma in 1961. From 1961 to 1963 he was a graphic designer in the clubhouse of the Chemische Werke Buna. He then worked as a graphic designer in the urban planning office of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district until 1965. From 1965 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR until its dissolution and continues to work as a freelancer. In 1971 he was the acting chairman of the district organization Karl-Marx-Stadt of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR and in 1974 its chairman. Study trips took him to the FRG, Bulgaria, CSSR, Iraq, Italy, Yugoslavia, Poland, the USSR, Hungary and West Berlin.
