Fritz Geisperger
Fritz Geisperger (born June 26, 1931 in Straubing ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Geisperger passed the first teaching examination at the teacher training institute in Straubing and the second teaching examination for teaching at elementary schools as well as the examination for teaching at schools for the deaf, hard of hearing and speech therapy. Professionally, he was the deaf and dumb teacher at the Institute for the Hearing Impaired in Straubing and head of the municipal adult education center in Straubing . He was also the 2nd chairman of the district working group of the Lower Bavarian adult education centers.
Geisperger became city councilor in Straubing in 1966, where he was also chairman of the SPD city council group. From 1974 to 1990 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . There he was agricultural spokesman from 1978 to 1986 and from 1986 deputy group chairman. From 1990 to 1996 he was Lord Mayor of Straubing.
