Josef Maily

Josef Maily (born April 11, 1876 in Leiblfing , † November 17, 1945 in Bad Wörishofen ) was a German politician . He was legally qualified mayor (1916–1925) and lord mayor (1925–1929) of the city of Straubing .

Life

Born the son of an innkeeper and master butcher, Maily studied in Munich , where he became a member of the Danubia Munich fraternity in 1895 . In 1905 he moved from Erlangen to Straubing, where he was mayor for many years. From 1933 he lived in Bad Wörishofen until his death.
