Reinhold Perlak

Reinhold Perlak (born October 30, 1945 in Ausserhienthal, Oberpiebing municipality , today in Salching ) is a Bavarian local and state politician of the SPD . From 1996 to the end of April 2008 he was Lord Mayor of Straubing . From 2008 to 2013 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Vita

Perlak learned the trade of technical draftsman and worked as a salesman in the Asian business and authorized signatory in the Straubing mechanical engineering company Novakust, until the latter filed for bankruptcy in 1993. Then founded Perlak a private company whose corporate purpose as its whereabouts remained unknown as well. During his term of office in Straubing, he only gave the job title "Lord Mayor". He is married to Helga Perlak and has one daughter.

Political career

Perlak was elected to the city ​​council of Straubing for the first time in 1984 . Since 1990 he has held the office of honorary second mayor. On May 1, 1996, he was elected Lord Mayor of Straubing. After Hermann Stiefvater and Fritz Geisperger, he was the third Lord Mayor that the SPD placed in the Gäubodenstadt .

In his role as mayor, Perlak was chairman of the supervisory board of Städtische Wohnungsbau GmbH, Parkhaus Betriebs GmbH, Stadtwerke Straubing GmbH, Straubinger Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungs GmbH, AWG Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft Straubing mbH and chairman of the ZVI Straubing-Sand association.

Reinhold Perlak ran again for the SPD as mayor candidate in the local elections in 2008 , but lost to his challenger Markus Pannermayr from the CSU in a runoff election .

In the Bavarian state election in 2008 , Perlak ran as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 209 Straubing . As expected, he was defeated by his opponent Josef Zellmeier (CSU, 45.58%) with 19.72% , but was able to enter the state parliament for the first time via the Lower Bavaria district list. He did not run for the 2013 state election .

Perlak was a member of the 13th Federal Assembly for the election of the German Federal President on May 23, 2009.
