Franz von Leistner
Franz Joseph Ritter von Leistner (born January 1, 1855 in Ansbach ; † May 24, 1916 ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.
Career
The liberal politician was legally qualified mayor of Straubing from 1888 to 1916 . From January 9, 1900 to 1904, he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . From September 29, 1903 until his resignation on January 28, 1904, he was Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies .
Honors
Because of his local political achievements he was made an honorary citizen of Straubing on November 15, 1912 . He was appointed Royal Councilor and was awarded the Order of Merit of St. Michael .
