Fritz Schaller (born January 18, 1902 in Oberstedten ; † May 26, 1983 in Oberursel ), also called "Bujo", was a German football player .

Career

Schaller began playing football in Oberstedten at the age of 14 and stayed with the local 1st football club 09 until the end of 1924, before he was signed by Eintracht Frankfurt at the age of 22 .

For Frankfurt he played from 1925 to 1933 in the championships organized by the South German Football Association until 1927 in the Main District League , until 1933 in the Main Group in the Main / Hessen District League .

As the winner of the Main group in 1928 , he and his team took part in the final round of the South German Championship , which the team finished second out of eight teams and thus qualified for the final round of the German Championship. He made his debut on July 8, 1928, when he lost 3-1 in the round of 16 against SpVgg Sülz 07 .

In the following season , once again emerged as the winner of the Main group, he completed the subsequent final round of the South German Championship in fourth place. As the winner of the Main Group in 1930 , he again took part in the final round of the South German Championship , which was won by a clear margin from SpVgg Fürth .
