Fritz Schloß (born May 23, 1895 in Berlin , † December 19, 1954 in Berlin) was a German Social Democrat .

Fritz Schloss was a founding member and chairman of the Jusos of Greater Berlin from 1919 to 1923 .

After the Second World War , he was appointed district mayor of the former Tiergarten district of Berlin in January 1946, succeeding Fritz Bachmann , and was later re-elected to the office.

For health reasons he gave up the office in 1952 and died on December 19, 1954. By resolution of the Berlin Senate on October 26, 1965, he was given an honorary grave by the city of Berlin at the Zehlendorf forest cemetery . His successor was the SPD politician Willi Meseck .

The Fritz-Schloß-Park on a former military site in Berlin-Moabit is a public park that was established in 1955 and is named after him. On the highest point in the park there is a memorial stone for Fritz Schloß.
