Willi Meseck

Willi Ernst Meseck (born October 17, 1894 in Berlin ; † October 10, 1974 there ) was a German local politician ( SPD ).

Life

Meseck joined the SPD in 1919 and held various party offices. After the Second World War (1945) he made himself available to the rebuilding of the party and for many years was chairman of the 6th department of the Berlin district association Tiergarten . He was also a long-time district association chairman.

From 1927 to 1934 Meseck worked in the Tiergarten district office . The former Tiergarten district has been part of Berlin-Mitte since 2001 and included the current districts of Hansaviertel , Moabit and Tiergarten . In 1934, the National Socialists forced him to leave his work area because of his commitment to the SPD. In 1945 Willi Meseck became a district councilor . In 1953 he succeeded Fritz Schloss as district mayor of the Berlin district of Tiergarten. On June 30, 1960, he retired.
