Fritz Vahle

Fritz Vahle (born March 1, 1913 in Bochum , † 1991 in Lüneburg ) was a German painter , graphic artist and biologist .

Life

Vahle was a student of Alexander Kanoldt . From 1945 to 1956 he worked as a freelance painter in Stendal . He created a number of views of the old Stendal, mostly as commissioned works by the city council.

From 1957 he taught in Dortmund and from 1959 in Pforzheim at the local art universities as a lecturer and professor . In addition to his graphic and glass artistic works, he also emerged as a draftsman for tapestries .

In 1954 the carpet exhibited by him at the 10th Triennale in Milan received the Diplome d´honneur .

He was married to Ingeborg Vahle-Giessler . Their son Fredrik is a well-known creator of children's songs .
