Fritz Weikart

Fritz Weikart (* 1912 in Berghofen ; † unknown) was a German wrestler .

Career

Fritz Weikart grew up in Dortmund and began as a teenager when AC (Athletes Club) Hoerde 04 with the rings . From 1931 he was one of the best German lightweight wrestlers in Greco-Roman and free style.

In his career, Fritz Weikart was German individual champion twice: in 1937 in the Greco-Roman style in the lightweight and 1944 in the free style in the featherweight. Fritz Weikart was also an extremely reliable team wrestler. With his club, AC Hörde 04 , he won the title of German team champion in 1931, 1933 and 1934.

Because of the strong domestic competition, it is worth remembering Eduard Sperling , Wolfgang Ehrl , Heinrich Schwarzkopf and Heinrich Nettesheim , Fritz Weikart could only start once in an international championship, the European championship in Greco-Roman. Style in Paris in 1937 . He won the bronze medal there with four victories .
