Miss Wommy Wonder

Miss Wommy Wonder (born November 8, 1967 in Riedlingen an der Donau ; real name Michael Panzer) is a German travesty artist and cabaret artist with a Swabian touch.

Life

Michael Panzer was born in Upper Swabia, studied Catholic theology and German literature with a focus on ancient languages, graduated with a state examination, but never practiced the teaching profession. Since 1984 he has been on stage as Miss Wommy Wonder, since 1991 with full-length programs.

Career

Miss Wommy Wonder at "Dame sticks!"

From 1984 to 1991 it was mainly galas, company celebrations, appearances with groups of friends (Victor Victoria, Notres Dames, etc.) that were on the agenda, at that time school and studies had priority. In 1991 the first full-length program ( Traumexpress ) took place in the renowned Lindenhof Theater in Melchingen with great success and paved the way for appearances in other theaters - regionally and nationally.

The brewhouse in Tübingen was the first house after the Lindenhof that gave the Fräulein start-up and development opportunities - it still appears in both theaters today. From 1991 to 1994 the young lady toured across the country and initiated the series Varieté in the LTT in the Landestheater Tübingen as an annual benefit for the Aidshilfe . In 1994 the second program Wonderland! also took place with great success.

Romy Haag then became aware of Wommy at a joint event and recommended her to the Renitenztheater Stuttgart, where she celebrated the premiere of Mixed Pickles in August 1995 . The three planned evenings were then extended to two weeks. Shortly afterwards, the invitation to Jürgen von der Lippe ( What is? ) Followed , the SWR recorded for a small portrait, first appearances in the Stuttgart theater followed as well as gala appearances in the republic. After all, Wommy delivered a new program in the Stuttgart Renitenztheater every summer: 1996 Only kisses taste better! , 1997 I'm happy! and 1998 ... that's how it belongs! (here for the first time intensive collaboration with Dr. Scholl & Mrs. Martha).

In 1998 the first collaboration with the Stuttgart Friedrichsbau-Varieté came about , where Wommy led the program with and on behalf of Alice and Ellen Kessler at 1 + 1 = 1 . At the same time, the first live CD was created and the Bleicher-Verlag Stuttgart published with ... so als Mensch! the first book. Furthermore, the first orders for fashion shows (as moderation and model) and first invitations to the red carpets of the region followed.

1999 Award of the Golden Filder Trophy and premiere of Caution Buckle! im Renitenz (meanwhile five sold out weeks) as well as moderation of the program of the centuries in the Friedrichsbau-Varieté , for the first time developed and conceived Wommy also together with Dr. Scholl organized the New Comedy Festival for the Straubinger publishing house and Das Örtliche , which so far has been touring the country in 12 different editions with changing artists. Also this year there was the first gala for the Christopher Street Day in Stuttgart , which Wommy moderated, helped design and since then has moderated every year.

In 2000, Wommy was at the CMT trade fair in Stuttgart for Deutsche Bahn , and in the summer the premiere of Gegessen ist beiheim ensured that the Renitenz sold out for six weeks. In 2001 Wommy came second in the travesty contest at the ARD lottery show , was on the road for 50 years in Baden-Württemberg as a figurehead for "Swabian culture, lifestyle and joie de vivre" and presented with lights off, spot (t) on! an anniversary program for the tenth anniversary of the theater. In 2002 Wommy hosted the Oscar night in Stuttgart and achieved the premiere of Donnerwetter! eight sold-out weeks before the organization and moderation of the “1. International Festival of Travesty “went. In 2003, L'tur committed to southern Spain and in Tivoli in Hamburg Wommy made it into the top 5 of the drag queen contest - in the summer the premiere of Unerhört! and filming Happy Days took place.

In 2004, ARD shot a portrait on the occasion of “20 Years of Wommy”, before Wommy's wonderful vaudeville with other artists went to the Cologne mustard pot for two weeks. Another premiere took place in summer, this time the show was called Nix wie Tricks! .

In 2005, Wommy hosted Waterloo Day at Mamma mia , and Mit Herz und Schnauze! in the Friedrichsbau (with its own band!) and from Even more heart and even more snout! takes place in renunciation. That 2008 Winged From! was replaced.

In 2009 there was the “International Show Prize” and the premiere of Bein frei! , the program for the 25th anniversary, which starts with the big gala Viva la diva! and many accompanying artists in the Stuttgarter Liederhalle . In 2010 Wommy was named "Artist of the Year" and presented the new program Passt scho '! . In 2011, after the relocation of the Renitenztheater to the new house, the premiere of Dame sticht! instead of. With more than 650 appearances in Renitenz by now, Wommy is by far the most common.

In total, almost 3,000 appearances have taken place in Germany and abroad in the past 27 years. She owns 22 full-length programs of her own, four programs for the Friedrichsbau-Varieté, 20 editions of the Varieté in the LTT for the Aidshilfe, 12 galas for the CSD Stuttgart, 12 editions of the New Comedy Festival for the Straubinger publishing house and has worked on five films, each year up to 30 benefit events. Highlights in the programs are the contemplative chansons, blasphemy against the alter ego Elfriede Schäufele and her protected versions of “Sissi” and her own way of removing make-up. Wommy , Wommy Wonder and Miss Wommy Wonder are now registered trademarks. Trademarks are the mighty tower hairstyles, evening dresses and high heels, with which the young lady manages to reach a height of 2.42 m.

Political and social ambitions

Wommy is particularly committed to the rights of minorities in Germany, is committed to the CSD and against HIV , regularly supports the Aidshilfen der Republik as well as non-profit organizations such as Anna e. V. , AMSEL or Together instead of lonely and also addresses socio-political problems in his own shows.
