Frode Grodås (born October 24, 1964 in Hornindal ) is a former Norwegian football player and current goalkeeping coach .

Grodås started his career at Sogndal IL . In 1988 he moved to Lillestrøm SK , with whom he became Norwegian champion in 1989. For the 1996/97 season he moved to England, where he played for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur for the next two years . In 1997 he won the FA Cup with Chelsea . In 1998 he was hired by FC Schalke 04 as a potential successor for Jens Lehmann . But after Oliver Reck became the new goalkeeper, Grodås moved to Racing Santander on loan for half a year . Then Grodås was a substitute goalkeeper behind Oliver Reck for another three years. From 2002 Grodås ended his career at Hønefoss BK .

Grodås was part of the Norwegian national team for years . He completed a total of 50 international matches and took part in the 1994 and 1998 world championships.

For the 2006 season Grodås was the new coach of the Norwegian first division club Ham-Kam . After Ham-Kam was relegated from the Tippeligaen this season , he was dismissed. For the 2007 season he was goalkeeping coach of Lillestrøm SK , where he was also the third goalkeeper. At the end of the 2010 season his contract expired and he has been the goalkeeping coach of the Norwegian national team ever since.
