The football district league Cottbus 1953/54 was the second season of the football district league Cottbus of the German Football Association . Again this year's Cottbus district class was held in a round-robin tournament with twelve teams. The newcomer BSG Chemie Weißwasser-West prevailed with four points ahead of BSG Chemie Schwarzheide and became district champion. As a result, the club qualified for the GDR soccer league in 1953/54 , due to the increase in the GDR soccer league for the coming season, there was no promotion round this year, but all district champions were directly qualified for this. At the end of the season the BSG unit Spremberg had to relegate, in return the BSG activist Lauchhammer-West and the BSG unit Hoyerswerda rose.
