The Fuchshöhe is with a height of 728.1  u m. NHN the highest mountain in the village of Arnsfeld (municipality of Mildenau ) in the Erzgebirgskreis ( Saxony ). It is very popular with hikers and cyclists as an excursion destination, especially since there is the possibility of entering yourself in a summit book.

Geographical location

Arnsfeld Fuchshöhe

The Fuchshöhe is located southeast of Arnsfeld. It separates the valleys of the Rauschenbach in the east and the Arnsfeld Dorfbach in the west. Both run north, where they flow into the Preßnitz in Niederschmiedeberg . In terms of the natural structure, the Fuchshöhe belongs to the Saxon Ore Mountains . In the finer subdivision, it is in the Middle Ore Mountains on the ridge on the upper Pressnitz.

The following mountains in the area can be seen from Fuchshöhe: Pöhlberg ( 831.1  m ) near Annaberg-Buchholz in the west, the Bärenstein ( 897.8  m ) near the municipality of the same name Bärenstein (Ore Mountains) in the southwest and the Haßberg ( 994  m ) in the Czech part of the Ore Mountains in the southeast.
