The hamlet of Gänsdorf is part of the community of Straßkirchen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Solar field

In December 2009, one of the largest solar power plants in Germany went into operation in Gänsdorf. The Gänsdorf solar field has a peak output of 54.3 MWp and was largely built on the area of ​​the Gänsdorf estate, formerly owned by Gloria von Thurn und Taxis .
