Grafling is a hamlet and part of the Oberschneiding municipality in the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

Geography and transport links

Grafling is located east of the core town of Oberschneiding on the SR 27 . The B 20 runs west.

The Edlgraben flows through the village .

history

As early as 1474, Grafling formed a chairmanship with the towns of Büchling, Grafling, Münchsdorf, Thall, Haunkhof and Peinkofen. In the year of conscription in 1752, Grafling consisted of three properties in the Straßkirchen office of the Deggendorf regional court. The largest landlord was the Windberg Monastery .

In 1808/1811 the Grafling tax district was formed, from 1814 to 1818 Grafling belonged to the Paitzkofen tax district and was subject to the Irlbach Lordship Court, which only existed during this period . The municipality of Grafling, which was established in 1821, came to the Straubing Regional Court in 1838, but still belonged to the Deggendorf Regional Court. In 1952 the municipality of Grafling included the districts Grafling, Gänsdorf, Münchsdorf, Peinkofen, Seehof and Thal.

Former parish

The municipality of Grafling belonged to the district of Straubing until June 30, 1972 and from July 1, 1972 until it was dissolved on April 30, 1978, to the district of Straubing-Bogen. As a result of the regional reform in Bavaria , the former municipality lost its independence and was incorporated into the municipalities of Oberschneiding and Straßkirchen. The towns of Grafling, Münchsdorf and Peinkofen came to Oberschneiding. The places Gänsdorf, Seehof and Thal were incorporated into the community of Straßkirchen .
