The village of Großenpinning , officially Großpinning until 1870, is a district of the Oberschneiding municipality in the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria . Until 1978 it was the main town of an independent municipality in the district of Dingolfing-Landau .

Geography and transport links

Großenpinning is located southeast of the core town of Oberschneiding. The federal road 20 and the district road SR 7 run west.

history

In the 2nd Duke's Surbar (before 1300), Großenpinning is mentioned as Pvenin . In 1474 and in later years it is mentioned as chairman of the Deggendorf regional court and belonged to the Straßkirchen office . On February 27, 1489, Count Sebastian I von Ortenburg acquired an estate from Hans Puchpeck, the keeper of Leonsberg . The Ortenburg counts were still in possession of this property in 1580 . In 1752, Großenpinning belonged to the Strasskirchen office of the Natternberg district court and consisted of nine properties.

In 1808/1811 the tax district Großenpinning was formed, which in turn was divided into sections I. Großenpinning and II. Paitzkofen .

Former community of Großenpinning

With the municipality edict of 17 May 1818, the community was Großenpinning. In addition to Grossenpinning, it also included the districts of Büchling and Neuhausen. On June 15, 1838, the community of Großenpinning was ceded by the Deggendorf regional court to the Landau an der Isar regional court .

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the community of Großenpinning , located in the district of Dingolfing-Landau , was incorporated into the community of Oberschneiding in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen on May 1, 1978 . In 1964 it covered the area of ​​845.24 hectares, roughly the extent of what is now the Großpinning district . The seat and largest district of the municipality was the village of the same name, Großenpinning. The former municipality also included the village Büchling , the hamlet Kleinpinning and Neubüchling , and the deserts atrium and Neuhausen .

Culture and sights

In the list of architectural monuments in Oberschneiding , the Catholic Church of Sankt Emmeram and Kassian is listed as an architectural monument for Großenpinning . The church was built in the 2nd half of the 15th century. The sacristy dates from 1865.

Another architectural monument is in Großenpinning 14, a residential building from the 1st half of the 19th century.

The famous Lower Bavarian trotter Simmerl († 1982) was born in Grossenpinning on March 17, 1960 in Ludwig and Heinrich Berger's stud .
