Göppersdorf is part of the municipality of Höttingen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The village is located in one of the foothills of the Arbachtal . Larger places in the area are Höttingen, Ellingen , Pleinfeld and Weißenburg . To the north is the 443.8 m high Heuberg .

Until the municipal reform in Bavaria , Göppersdorf was part of the formerly independent municipality of Fiegenstall . In 1978 the places were incorporated into Höttingen.
