Gössenberg is a former municipality with 317 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2016) in Styria . Gössenberg is located in the Ennstal in the Schladminger Tauern ( judicial district Schladming ). In 2015, the community was merged with the market community of Aich as part of the Styrian community structural reform, the new community continues the name Aich.

geography

Gössenberg is located in the Gröbming branch in the Liezen district in the Austrian state of Styria . There was already an administrative partnership with the municipality of Aich before 2015 .

In the Gössenberg area are the Styrian Lake Constance , the Hüttensee and the Obersee.

history

The abolition of the manorial lords took place in 1848. The local community of Gössenberg as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to the Reichsgau Styria, 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.
