Günter Albrecht (engineer)

Günter Gebhard Willibald Herrmann Albrecht (born August 27, 1931 in Rostock ) is a German engineer .

Life

Günter Albrecht was the son of the tailor Franz Albrecht and his wife, the educator Lise-Lotte Albrecht. He passed his Abitur in 1951. In that year he started an apprenticeship as a machine fitter, which he finished two years later and became a skilled worker . Then he moved to the Technical University of Chemnitz to study engineering, especially mechanical engineering. In 1958 he completed this course and received the degree of graduate engineer the next year . Until 1961 he was a planning technologist at the Rostock diesel engine factory .

In 1961 Albrecht was appointed senior assistant, lecturer and research assistant to the Faculty of Engineering Economics at the University of Rostock. There he also received his doctorate in economics in 1966 . He finally received his teaching qualification in 1969. In 1972 he became an advisor to the editorial staff of the magazine production technology and operation and was appointed to the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education as a scientific advisory board for business administration. He held this position for seven years. In 1989 he was also fired from his position as an editorial consultant.

Since his habilitation in 1977, Albrecht has lectured at the University of Mechanical Engineering. In 1979 he left the university to become a full professor at the Pedagogical University of Güstrow . He was also appointed to the commission for polytechnics at the Ministry of Public Education . In 1989 he left this office.

1991/1992 Albrecht taught at the University of Rostock as a professor for general technology. At the university he also held the positions of group leader, leader and spokesman for the science department. Apart from that, he was a member of the Scientific Council of the Güstrow University of Applied Sciences and a member of the Innovation Commission . He also belongs to the Chamber of Technology .
