Günther Kronenbitter

Günther Kronenbitter (born December 18, 1960 in Gütersloh ) is a German historian .

Life

Kronenbitter was born in 1992 with Theo Stammen at the University of Augsburg with the history of ideas dissertation Word and Power. Friedrich Gentz ​​as a political writer for Dr. phil. PhD. In 2001 he completed his habilitation with the support of a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in the subject of modern and contemporary history on the subject of “War in Peace”. From 2006 to 2009 he was DAAD Professor of History at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2012/13 he has held the chair for European Ethnology / Folklore at the University of Augsburg.

His research interests are military history , the history of political ideas and the history of international relations .
