Głuchów is a village in the Pogorzela municipality in the Gostyński powiat in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in western-central Poland . The place is located about 3 km southwest of Pogorzela, 20 km southeast of Gostyń , and 75 km south of the voivodeship capital Posen ( Poznań ).

history

After the second division of Poland in 1793, the place belonged to the Krotoschin district and from 1887 with the reorganization of the districts to the Koschmin district . The community encyclopedia for the Kingdom of Prussia gives for 1885 for the place under the name Gluchow a living space with 64 households in 55 residential buildings on an area of ​​261 hectares. Of the 331 residents, 13 were Protestant and 318 Catholic.

For 1905 the community encyclopedia gives 49 residential buildings and one additional accommodation with a total of 59 multi-person households and seven single-person households under the name Gluchowo . Among the 330 inhabitants, seven were Protestants with German as their mother tongue and 323 Catholics with Polish as their mother tongue. The Protestant parish belonged to the parish of Pogorzela, the Catholic to the parish of Pogorzela. In 1910 Gluchowo had 335 inhabitants. From 1975 to 1998 the place belonged to the Leszno Voivodeship .
