history

Soviet Union

Kaustik Volgograd was founded in 1976. Four years after it was founded, he took part in the first Soviet league and was able to establish himself there for a few years. In 1987 the team from Kunzewo had to admit defeat in the relegation battle. After rising again, Kaustik achieved his best ranking in 1990 with sixth place.

Russia

Things went better for Kaustik in the newly created Super League. After the runner-up in 1994 and 1995, the team won four championships in a row. Since then, only Medvedi Chekhov has been the champion. In 2000 they finished second again. A few years in midfield followed. It wasn't until 2007 that they were back at the top of the national league. In 2009 they were runner-up, in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 third.

Cup

In the Russian Cup, Kaustik lost to Medvedi Chekhov in the final in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013. In 2012 they reached the semi-finals.
