Gabriela Gajanová gained her first international experience in 2015 when she retired from the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi with 57.91 seconds in the 400-meter run and also competed in the Slovak 4-by-100-meter relay 49.28 s failed to qualify for the final. The following year, she won the bronze medal over 800 meters at the European Youth Championships held there for the first time in 2: 09.43 minutes, as well as at the U20 European Championships in 2017 in Grosseto in 2: 07.15 minutes. In addition, she reached eighth place with the Slovak 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 44.46 min. In 2018 she was fourth at the U20 World Championships in Tampere in 2:01.90 minutes and also qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round with 2:02:57 minutes. At the U23 European Championships in 2019 in Gävle , she finished fourth in the individual competition in 2: 06.78 min and placed sixth in the relay in 3: 46.26 min. She also took part in the World Championships in Doha for the first time and was eliminated there with 2: 04.45 minutes in the lead-up .
In 2019 Gajanová became Slovak champion in the 800-meter run outdoors and in 2020 indoor champion over 1500 meters.
