Gabriele Piras (born June 3, 1999 in Rho ) is an Italian - Austrian football player .

Career

During the winter break of the 2014/15 season, Piras came from Inter Milan to Austria at the SK Sturm Graz Academy , where he played until 2016. In August 2016 he made his debut for the amateurs of Sturm in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Dario Maresic in the 77th minute against SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors on matchday six of the 2016/17 season . He scored his first goal in the regional league in April 2018 in a 3-1 defeat against SK Vorwärts Steyr .

For the 2018/19 season he moved up to the professional squad of Graz, but was still only used for the amateurs. He then moved to second division SV Lafnitz in January 2019 . He made his debut in the 2nd division in March 2019 when he started against SKU Amstetten on matchday 18 of that season .

After the 2019/20 season he left Lafnitz and moved to Slovenia to the second division club NK Drava Ptuj .

Piras was born in Rho as the son of a Sardinian and an Austrian .
