Gabrielle Magnenat

Gabrielle Magnenat (born February 17, 1980 in Vaulion ) is a Swiss ski mountaineer .

Magnenat began ski mountaineering in 1998 and took part in a competition in this sport for the first time in 1989 at the Notcure Morgins . She has been a member of the Swiss national ski mountaineering team since 2000 and takes part in championships for Switzerland on an international level.

Successes (selection)

  • 2007:
    • 3rd place at the European Ski Mountaineering Championship (with Catherine Mabillard and Nathalie Etzensperger)
    • 6th place at the European Ski Mountaineering Team with Marie Troillet
    • 7th place at the European Ski Mountaineering Individual Championships
    • 8th place at the European Ski Mountaineering Combination Championship
  • 2008:
    • 1st place at the World Ski Mountaineering Championship (with Marie Troillet, Nathalie Etzensperger, Séverine Pont-Combe)
    • 2nd place at the world championship ski mountaineering long distance
    • 3rd place at the World Ski Mountaineering Team (with Catherine Mabillard)
    • 8th place at the World Cup ski mountaineering, Val d'Aran

  • 2004: 2nd place with Andréa Zimmermann and Jeanine Bapst
  • 2006: 1st place and another record time with Catherine Mabillard and Séverine Pont-Combe
  • 2008: 1st place and record time with Nathalie Etzensperger and Séverine Pont-Combe
