The Gallner (Gallner Berg: 710 m ) is a ridge near Konzell in the Bavarian Forest in a west-east orientation between the valley of the Kinsach in the west and the Menach valley . The European long-distance hiking trail E8 runs over it .
Its three almost equally high peaks are characteristic: Gallner Berg ( 710 m ) ( ⊙ ), Kühleite ( 704 m ) ( ⊙ ) and Blumerberg ( 682 m ) ( ⊙ ). The Gallner was named after its importance as a mountain pasture for young cattle or Galt cattle .
The summit area and the north and east slopes are located in the area of the municipality of Konzell . Haibach , Haselbach and Rattiszell are the neighboring communities on the southern slope . The western slope lies in the municipality of Stallwang .
Northwest of the summit of the Gallner Berg at about 630 meters above sea level lies the Gallner wasteland , a district of the municipality of Konzell. The branch church of St. Sixtus, built at the end of the 15th century, is located here .
