Gangnam-gu (강남구) is one of the 25 boroughs of Seoul and is located south of the Han River ( gang 'river', nam 'south'). It is a very affluent neighborhood and the most affluent area in all of South Korea . 527,641 inhabitants live in an area of ​​39.5 km² (status: 2010 census).
