Garden City is a city founded in the 19th century in the west of the US state Kansas with 26,658 inhabitants (as of 2010). The city is the administrative seat and capital of Finney County . It houses the Garden City Community College and the Lee Richardson Zoo. To the east of Garden City is the small town of Holcomb , the scene of the quadruple murder of the Clutter family in 1959 and of Truman Capote's factual novel in cold blood .
