The typical street village of Garnbach is one kilometer south of Wiehe in a side valley of the Finns .

history

In 1327 the first mention of Garnbach was registered and archived in the document book I 528 of the Pforta monastery . The castle site Rabenswalde on the Schrecke is older . It is located on a mountain spur to the Unstruttal 1.5 km southwest of Garnbach. Remains of the castle are still there. The Nikolaikirche dates from the 18th century. On July 1, 1950, Garnbach was incorporated into the city of Wiehe.
