Gaur ( Nepali गौर ) is a city (municipality) in the Terai in Nepal .
Gaur is the administrative seat of the district of Rautahat in Province No. 2 directly on the Indian border. The Bagmati River flows east of Gaur to the south. The urban area covers 21.53 km².
