Mair had to withdraw his allegations against the agency P8 Hofherr as part of a court settlement in which he “fully recognized” the lawsuit against him and delete them from his homepage.

Mair in 2008

In February 2019, Mair wrote in connection with the Good Friday debate: "On Good Friday at 3 p.m. Jesus died laughing on the cross". This was sharply criticized as a violation of religious feelings by both the ÖVP and the FPÖ . City Councilor Rudi Federspiel (FPÖ) filed a complaint against Mair with the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office in March on suspicion of degrading religious teachings .
