The Geestmoor is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipalities of Neuenkirchen and Scholen in the combined municipality of Schwaförden in the Diepholz district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 029 was around 52  hectares in size. The area's worthy of protection was recognized as early as 1930. The area has been under nature protection since September 1, 1967. In 2009 it was part of the newly designated “ Geestmoor-Klosterbachtal ” nature reserve , which joined to the north and expanded the area to the south in the municipality of Scholen.

The former reserve lies between Twistringen and Schwaförden in a valley of a ground moraine landscape. It protects a drained and partially peated raised bog with peat thicknesses of up to seven meters. Fen areas were connected to the raised bog. In the former nature reserve, bog forests are growing with downy birch as the dominant tree species. Open areas are occupied by pipe grasses. Former peat cuttings have often been full of water. Vibrating lawns settle here . Partial areas are occupied by moor heaths . In the north of the former protected area, in the transition area to the low moor, alder forests grow thick with rich occurrences of dragon arens .

There is a watershed in the Geestmoor . The Klosterbach flows in a northerly direction , the Kleine Aue in a southerly direction.
