The Gellener Torfmöörte is a former nature reserve in Lower Saxony . It is located in the communities of Elsfleth in the Wesermarsch district and Rastede in the Ammerland district and in the independent city of Oldenburg .
The former nature reserve with the license plate number NSG WE 137 is around 120 hectares in size. 107.4 ha of the area are in the Wesermarsch district, 11.6 ha in the Ammerland district and 1 ha in the urban area of Oldenburg. The former nature reserve is part of the FFH area "Ipweger Moor, Gellener Torfmöörte". The area has been under nature protection since June 4, 1983. On December 22nd, 2018 the newly designated nature reserve “ Gellener Torfmöörte with Rockenmoor and Fuchsberg ” opened. Responsible lower nature conservation authorities were the districts of Wesermarsch and Ammerland and the city of Oldenburg.

The former nature reserve is located directly on the north-eastern city limits of Oldenburg. It consists of a high moor and low moor complex as part of the Ipweger Moor with fallow moor grassland , ponds, silting and forest communities as well as peat cuttings and moor heaths . The area is known for its abundance of marsh calla as well as for the numerous dragonfly species that can be found here .
With a moor educational trail , it is part of the first stage of the 100-kilometer circular cycle path “ Route around Oldenburg ”.
