Hardegg (Carinthia)

The municipality of Hardegg was a municipality in the Carinthian district of Sankt Veit an der Glan , which existed from 1850 until 1958 when it was merged into the newly created municipality of Liebenfels .

The municipality was located in the extreme southwest of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, in the south of today's municipality of Liebenfels. It extends from the Glan in the north to the northern slopes of the Zmulnberg in the south, and from Metschach in the west to Rohnsdorf in the east, over an altitude of 479 m above sea level. A. on the Glan on the eastern border up to 677 m above sea level. A. near the Zmulnberg.

history

In the course of the administrative reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, Hardegg was established in 1850 from the tax and cadastral municipality Hardegg with an area of 9.48 km² and 442 inhabitants. The municipality had previously belonged to the Hardegg tax district.

The community initially belonged to the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . From 1854 to 1868 it belonged to the mixed district of Sankt Veit . The reforms in 1868 made it part of the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan, where it remained until it was dissolved.

On January 1, 1958, the municipality of Liebenfels was formed by merging the municipalities of Pulst , Hardegg and Liemberg , with which the municipality of Sörg was merged in 1973 .
