Swoge [ ˈsvɔɡɛ ] ( Bulgarian Своге ) is a small town in Bulgaria .
location
The city is located in the Balkan Mountains on the Iskar River ( Bulgarian Искър ), 40 kilometers north of Sofia , in a wider part of the Iskar Gorge .
Public transport
The city is on the Sofia - Vidin railway line . There are also various bus connections to Sofia.
economy
Swoge is known nationwide for the chocolate brand of the same name, which is produced on site by Mondelēz International Bulgaria.
Sports
Swoge is the home of the football club FK Sportist Swoge , which played in the first Bulgarian league , Group A , in 2009/10 , but has now crashed into the third division.
