Generation Kill is an American thrash metal / hardcore punk band from Congers . The band is signed to Nuclear Blast and has released two studio albums so far .

history

The band was founded in 2008 by former Exodus vocalist Rob Dukes and the former MOD - and Pro-Pain - bassist founded Rob Moschetti. Was completed the first volume of occupation of the guitarist Jason Trenczer (ex- Mutilation ) and Louis Lehman and the Mortician - drummer Sam Inzerra. In 2011 the debut album Red, White and Blood was released on the French label Season of Mist . Since the musicians had too little money available, the album was recorded in Dukes' house on their own.

The album tells the story of a war veteran who becomes a serial killer after returning home through traumatic war experiences . After the release of the debut, Louie Lehman and Sam Inzerra left the band and were replaced by Jason Velez and former Merauder drummer Jim DeMaria. Since Season of Mist hardly advertised the album, according to Dukes, the musicians decided to look for a new record company for the next album.

In the summer of 2013 the band played a European tour in support of the band Heathen and was then signed by Nuclear Blast. The second studio album We're All Gonna Die was released in November 2013 and was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris. For the album cover, the band used a photograph by Dan Carpenter, which shows the victims of the volcanic eruption of Vesuvius in the ancient city of Herculaneum .

In 2017, the band collaborated with Run DMC member Darryl McDaniels and released an album called Fragile Mortals that combines Thrash Metal with Hip-Hop .
