Georg "Schorse" Kellermann (born September 21, 1934 in Hanover ) is a former German soccer player .

career

The striker joined Hannover 96 from Werder Hannover in 1955 . On September 11, 1955, in the 3-1 win at VfB Oldenburg, he played his first league game alongside the master players from 1954 Hans Krämer , Helmut Geruschke , Rolf Gehrcke , Heinz-Günther Bothe , Heinz Wewetzer , Rolf Paetz , Hans Tkotz and Klemens Zielinski and Willi Hundertmark , in which he scored two goals. In his first year he scored eight goals in 25 games. For the "Reds" he played 182 games in the Oberliga Nord , in which he scored 65 goals.

Since Hannover 96 was not included in the Bundesliga in 1963 , Kellermann played in the North Regional Football League . He was a regular player in the 1963/64 season with 25 missions in which he scored four goals. Kellermann also scored two goals in the six promotion round matches in 1964, and thus contributed to the rise of Hanover. On June 28, 1964 he was part of the winning team with Horst Podlasly , Heinz Steinwedel , Klaus Bohnsack , Winfried Mittrowski , Otto Laszig , Bodo Fuchs , Fred Heiser , Werner Gräber , Walter Rodekamp and Udo Nix , who won 3-1 against Hessen Kassel reached the climb. In the Bundesliga he made ten appearances in the first season. But he was ousted this season by the new signing Jürgen Bandura . He played his last Bundesliga game on January 23, 1965 in the 1-0 defeat at 1. FC Nürnberg . In the seasons 1965/66 and 1966/67 Kellermann was still part of the Bundesliga squad. However, he was no longer used in the Bundesliga during these seasons. In 1967 he ended his active career as a professional football player.
