biography

At the end of the 1980s, Georg Schroeter met the young harmonica player Marc Breitfelder and the Kiel blues guitarist and singer Daffy for the first time at a concert by Gottfried Böttger (ex-pianist of Udo Lindenberg's Panik Orchester, TV pianist at 3 after 9 ) Deblitz. Both played with Gottfried every now and then and founded the blues duo "Blues Manner", which later became the "Blues Manner Band". Peter Weise played the drums, Tommy Jahnke the bass and Georg Schroeter later took over Buggie Braune's job on the keys and traveled with the “Blues Manner Band” to Tallinn, Estonia . It was also Daffy who put Georg in touch with the Southern Rock Band "White Lightnin '". On a Korg CX-3 in combination with a Leslie and a Roland RD 300 digital piano, he expanded his experience in combination with a band that specializes in songs, among others, BB King , Lynyrd Skynyrd , ZZ Top and the Allman Brothers to play . In addition to the "Blues Manner Band" and "White Lightnin '", Georg often played with Marc and Daffy as a trio under the name "Jambirds". A musical collaboration was also established in 1995 with the singer and guitarist Barni Söhnel from Kiel. Barni was spontaneously invited to recording sessions in the supersonic recording studio in Kiel and so the CD Movin 'On was born . Georg Schroeter developed into a popular session musician and played in many different formations and bands, but mostly in a duo with Marc Breitfelder. In 1999 Georg Schroeter met the Beatles discoverer Tony Sheridan and several tours and concerts followed, some of them with Marc Breitfelder on the harmonica. Georg Schroeter was most influenced musically by Abi Wallenstein , with whom he also appears with Martin Röttger and Marc Breitfelder under the name “Spirit of the Blues” . In 2011 "Georg Schroeter & Marc Breitfelder" won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in the solo / duo category.
