Georg Stamm

Georg Stamm (born November 1, 1855 in Hausen , † August 17, 1923 in Karsbach ) was a farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Stamm attended elementary school and holiday school until he was 16 years old. He served as a sergeant in the 9th Infantry Regiment from 1875 to 1878. Then he took over the management and administration of a property belonging to his relatives in Karsbach, which he later acquired. In 1893 he became the calculator of the loan association, in 1900 he was mayor and in the same year he was elected as a member of the Lower Franconian district administrator, as well as a member of the agricultural district committee. From 1906 he was a member of the supervisory board of the Bavarian Central Loan Fund in Munich.

From 1903 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia  3 ( Lohr , Karlstadt , Hammelburg , Marktheidenfeld , Gemünden ) and the German Center Party . He was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies from 1905 to 1907.
